Tumble Dryers
These fit under a worktop and you can see them – the condenser means that you don’t
have to vent it outside. The machine collects the water in a reservoir that you
have to empty periodically.
These don’t actually dry your clothes – they just spin them much faster than a washer
would so that drying is much quicker – good for the environment and cheaper too
by reducing tumble drying time by about 30 minutes.
Careful – some of these are free standing and some are integrated
(need a furniture door) - the vented terminology means that you need a hole in the
wall to outside to connect the flexi hose to it. Some people do open a window and
put the flexi hose through that.
